This according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the Bramley police spokesperson who said the victim was walking home when she stopped to talk to the suspect’s girlfriend.
“While busy talking to the girlfriend, the boyfriend approached them and started to accuse the victim of talking about him behind his back,” explained Maphakela.
He said the victim and the suspect exchanged insults and the suspect became very angry and attacked her. “Someone saw what was happening and came to help her and she managed to run away,” said Maphakela.
The victim did not sustain any visible injuries. She opened a case of common assault with the Bramley police.
No arrest has been made.
