It was alleged that shots were fired, however police who responded to the scene could not comment as they were busy collecting statements. No injuries were reported and it appears that paramedics did not attend the incident.
An officer from a security company on the scene who did not want to be named, said as the complainant arrived home and before he had time to close the gate, two armed suspects entered the property.
The officer said the suspects stole items including bank cards and jewellery.
