Fifty Shades of Grey has purple patch

JOBURG - The film adaptation of the fastest-selling novel for adults of all time, Fifty Shades of Grey, may just be one of the most anticipated films worldwide.

Pre-sales for the movie are already breaking records, and have surpassed previous title holders such as Skylight, Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and The Avengers.

Following this, Ster-Kinekor announced it would open more screens for the pre-release of the film on 12 February due to the high demand for tickets.

Marketing executive of Ster-Kinekor Theatres, Doug Place said, “Tickets are already selling fast for these extra screenings and we strongly advise the public not to arrive at the cinema on Thursday without a pre-booked ticket.

“Fifty Shades of Grey is the perfect film for that special Valentine’s Day date night, so remind your date to book tickets for the special Valentine’s Day screenings at all Ster-Kinekor cinemas.”

The eagerly awaited movie starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as Ana and Mr Grey respectively, releases globally and at Ster-Kinekor cinemas locally on 13 February.

It carries a 16 LNS age restriction.
