Sandton Junior School opens its doors

SANDTON - After a turbulent beginning last year, Sandton Junior School came out on top when they hosted their open day on 31 January inviting parents and prospective pupils to feast their eyes on the school's wonderful facilities.

Owner of Sandton Junior School Nadya Katz said, “Everything has gone really well and we’ve had such an amazing response from families in the area who are in desperate need of schools and who love our facilities.”

This all followed a trying period where Sandton Junior School came under fire after parents who had previously enrolled their children at Ashfield Preparatory School, which closed down at the end of 2014 and was later renamed Sandton Junior School without warning the parents.

Katz added that the open day acted as a way for the school to gain the trust from the local community and it has been a great opportunity to show the residents that they are equipped as a school. She said, “There’s an incredible vibe in the area. We have been welcomed by the residents.”

The open day was a great success with the entire Sandton Junior School team playing with young children and impressing parents with their love for teaching. Katz concluded, “I just want parents to know that both me, and my entire team, have such a great passion for children. We want to create this early development centre where children can come and feel safe and loved.”
