Hilton Sandton welcomes new hotel manager
JOBURG - The Hilton group saw an exciting start to this year as they welcomed a new manager to their Sandton hotel.
Gert Venter was appointed to the position of hotel manager at the beginning of this year and members of the hotel are already praising his capabilities.
Jan van der Putten, vice-president operations: Africa & Indian Ocean, expressed excitement at welcoming Venter to Hilton Sandton.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Venter from a regional and property level while he was at Conrad Pezula Resort & Spa and I could not think of a better person… to take up the position of hotel manager,” he said.
Venter also weighed in, saying he was thrilled to be given such a position and to be able to continue his growth within the Hilton Worldwide group.
“I am looking forward to pushing limits and continuing to assert our hotel as a leading global brand through offering our guests the stage to make and tell their stories,” he said.
Venter is an accomplished hotelier who has worked with various global and local brands since 1993 when he entered the hospitality industry.
His vast experience spans across various functions in hospitality making him a suitable candidate to lead the team at Hilton Sandton.
