Bryanston High trail blazers

BRYANSTON - Bryanston High School recently recognised the achievement of excellence of a number of matric pupils with the awarding of white honours blazers, the highest award obtainable at the school.

Matric students Chelsea Alexander, Towela Chinganya and Raheema Ravat received their white blazers for obtaining six distinctions in the matric preliminary exams.

The following received four full colours in one year:

  •  Dylan Wingrove full colours in academics, rugby, swimming, and councillorship.
  •  Towela Chinganya full colours in academic, first aid, tennis coaching and councillorship
  •  Takudzwa Mwerenga for full colours in academics, tennis, hockey and councillorship
  •  Jessica Tavener for colours in netball, debs and squires, tennis coaching and tennis.
  •  Samantha Ritchie full colours in academics, councillorship, hockey and hockey umpiring.
  •  Mzamo Mnguni full colours in athletics, cross country, hockey and councillorship
  •  Grant Miu, who was re-awarded his white blazer after achieving full colours in chess, swimming, academics and councillorship as head boy.

The following matrics, who already had white honours blazers were re-awarded their white blazers:

  •  Brandon Schlebusch who received national colours in triathlon, full colours in open water swimming, athletics, cross country and councillorship
  •  Stefan Minkov for obtaining six distinctions in his matric prelims and
  •  Kiara O’Connell for obtaining seven distinctions in matric prelims.
