Resident ‘assaulted and threatened’ by security officer

PARKMORE - Dalecross resident, Lorraine Mutambiranwa, was shocked by the alleged assault from an ADT security officer in Parkmore.

She explained, “An ADT patrol vehicle was driving towards me. The driver kept on driving until he nearly mowed me down. At that point, I screamed out and pulled a middle finger at him.” Apparently the security officer then put his car in reverse and backed up till he bumped into Mutambiranwa.

“I lost it, I went up to the passenger side window, banged on it and asked him to kill me if that was his wish,” she said. “The driver came out of the vehicle and shouted at me; even though my sister who was much calmer tried to speak to him reasonably. By the end of the screaming match, he said we should feel free to report him.”

Clive Humphrey, the ADT central region managing director said ADT was taking the matter very seriously.

On the contrary, some Kelvin residents have expressed their approval of ADT officers as the most helpful and polite officers who attend to inquiries in a prompt manner.
