Event organiser, Bronwyn Yarr said the event would help create awareness among the general public and develop much-needed support for local animal shelters and rescue centres with animals looking for a loving home.
She added, “Each shelter and organisation has been invited to bring some of their rescued animals looking for families… I feel this makes a bigger impact on people. For those animals that cannot be there, every shelter and organisation will be bringing a portfolio of as many of, if not all, their animals that require families.”
The event will be open to the public and will be held in the Reserve in Illovo on 22 November from 10am to 2pm.
