Residents and business owners in the area will be pleased to know that the closed-off road will soon be opened in less than a month’s time. “The roads agency is working hard to ensure the roads in your community are safe, accessible and liveable,” said Bertha Peters-Scheepers, the spokesperson for the roads agency.
She explained that the supports and bridge slabs have now been completed. The relocation of the storm water and sewer pipes has also been completed. “Joburg Water has finalised the deviation of the water main and we thank you for your patience while this was attended to,” said Peters-Scheepers.
She added that the bridge beams were erected on 30 October. Construction activities on the site have been proceeding.
