Ster Kinekor to offer pre-release of ‘Wackhead’ Simpson movie
SANDTON - Ahead of Heritage Day celebrations, cinema giant Ster Kinekor will offer a pre-release movie screening of the anticipated animation movie, Planes 2: Fire and Rescue.
The movie includes the voice of renowned radio personality, Darren ‘Wackhead’ Simpson. Simpson, known for hosting the 947 Breakfast Xpress, voices the character of Drip, one of The Smokejumpers in the Disney movie.
The screenings will take place at some Ster Kinekor theatres and according to Simone Jacobs, public relations officer at Amplified Communications, will also include an array of activities ensured to keep children entertained.
“The movie will have special pre-screenings at Ster-Kinekor release sites across all show times for the public holiday,” she said.
“The pre-screening will take place at select Ster Kinekor theatres including The Zone and Carnival City.”
Other cinemas slated to screen the movie include Cradlestone in Johannesburg; Brooklyn Mall and Forest Hill in Pretoria, Gateway in Durban, and Blue Route and Cavendish in Cape Town.
The national release date of the Disney movie is 26 September at Ster Kinekor cinemas across the nation.
