House robbery in Morningside

MORNINGSIDE - The police are looking for three suspects involved in a house robbery in Morningside.

According to Captain Kym Cloete, spokesperson for Sandton police, the incident took place at about 8.45pm in August.

“The complainant was allegedly watching television when three unknown males entered the house with the complainant’s domestic worker,” she said.

One of the suspects threatened the complainant and the worker with a knife.

Cloete said the suspects tied up the two victims and assaulted them before taking valuables from the house.

Meanwhile, in Kramerville police successfully recovered a stolen vehicle after it was hijacked in a parking lot.

According to Cloete, the complainant had parked the car and was approached by three suspects in a maroon Almera.

“Two of the suspects had firearms and forced the complainant out of the car before fleeing with it,” she said.

The investigation into both cases continues, Cloete confirmed.
