Local Beauty crowned Miss Teen Commonwealth SA 2015

BRYANSTON - Bryanston High School pupil Daniela Gasser (17) has been crowned the new Miss Teen Commonwealth South Africa for 2015.

Gasser competed against 19 other hopeful beauties in the Miss Teen category at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City.

Gasser also won the Miss Teen Charity crown for raising the most funds for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust, the official charity for the Miss Teen category. The pageant also supported Ikageng Aids Ministry and the breast cancer initiative, Pink Drive as part of their other charities this year.

Celebrities, Marilyn Ramos (Miss South Africa 2012) and Nadia Beukes (Kyknet presenter) were part of the judging panel. Actress Zetske van Pletzen and actor Altus Theart were the presenters for the evening.

Some of the designers who had their garments showcased included Mzansi Designers Emporium, Sun Goddess, Peter Bondesio, Angelique du Randt Couture, Bride & Co.

Gasser will represent South Africa at the international pageant in London in November this year where all 53 Commonwealth member states are invited to send their representatives to compete.
