The suspects, two men and a woman were arrested following a house robbery incident that took place in Bryanston on 25 August.
Kym Cloete, spokesperson for the Sandton police said the complainant’s daughter spotted the suspects while she was outside and screamed to alert her father.
The suspects pulled out firearms and grabbed the daughter. They led her to the house and then tied the family up in a bedroom. Cloete said the suspects ransacked the property and made off with valuable including laptops, cellphones and jewellery.
“The suspects then loaded the valuables into the victim’s car, a silver Chrysler Voyager and fled the scene in it,” she said.
Members of the detective branch followed up on the incident and arrested the three suspects while recovering the stolen property and vehicle. The suspects were charged with house robbery.
