Diamond rings missing during security installation

BUCCLEUCH - Resident Denise Cochrane has expressed outrage towards security company ADT and a contracted alarm installation company, GDH Security, after three of her diamond rings went missing.

The rings, including her wedding ring allegedly went missing after a security installation at her home.

Cochrane subsequently requested ADT to arrange to have the technicians from GDH Security undergo a polygraph test. She said, “The results from the polygraph test showed that one of the technicians was deceptive when responding to the relevant questions. Thus on a balance of probabilities it would seem that he was at minimum aware of the theft if not involved per se.”

She said after the incident neither ADT nor GDH Security would consider dismissing the employee. She said, “I feel that ADT has a stronger role to play here as the contract is between myself and ADT and I placed my trust in allowing ADT vetted technicians access to my home. I have opened a criminal case against the GDH technician but the case is progressing very slowly and in the interim both companies are taking no responsibility for the incident.”

In response Clive Humphrey, managing director of ADT Central and also speaking on behalf of GDH Decurity, said since the matter had been brought to his attention he had requested the dealership to suspend the technician in question, pending the outcome of the police investigation which is currently underway. “We take allegations of this nature very seriously and will take the necessary steps to dismiss the employee should additional evidence be found to support our earlier polygraph test,” said Humphrey
