The publication’s supplement showcases young leaders who are considered to be shaping the country’s future.
Potter was honoured in the politics and government category as the youngest ward councillor in the city, with other young influential leaders under the age of 35 years old.
“I try to be at the forefront of service delivery in the City of Johannesburg, attending to the near every request of the thousands of residents in my ward, as well as many others across the city,” said Potter.
“It is however unfortunate that the City [City of Joburg] largely fails to fulfil their mandate of delivery,” he added.
Potter encourages residents to continue to engage with him so that issues can be addressed.
He is described as one of the most responsive ward councillors in the area.
Potter is not only a ward councillor but an operations director for Acres of Love. He manages the 27 homes that house orphaned children in Gauteng and the Western Cape.
