Every year the Eskom Development Foundation, which is tasked with implementing Eskom’s corporate social investment initiatives, hosts its glamorous fundraising event Joy & Jewels to celebrate extraordinary women, while raising funds for a good cause.
Tshepiso Seopa, on behalf of Joy & Jewels, said the event is a great opportunity for women to enjoy some time out with delicious food, a fashion show and pampering spa treatments. “There will also be a thrilling auction with bespoke experiences on offer,” added Seopa.
Eskom Development Foundation CEO, Haylene Liberty-Nel said, “Every year the foundation selects a national charity as a beneficiary of this fundraising event with the view to leaving a sustainable legacy among organisations that support the more vulnerable members of society including children, the elderly and women.”
Seopa added that this year all proceeds raised will be donated to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital.
“By supporting Joy & Jewels you will be contributing to the development of a vital new children’s hospital, and you can be sure that you will be playing a part in keeping former President Nelson Mandela’s legacy alive,” said Liberty-Nel.
