Pet food supplier donates pet food to SPCA

SANDTON - The Sandton SPCA was the proud recipient of a generous pet food donation made by leading pet food supplier, Champion Petfoods South Africa.

The supplier pledged to provide 67 dogs and 67 cats at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals with healthy food for an entire week during the month of July.

The nutritious food would be provided to the pets from 21 July and was aimed at ensuring that rescue dogs and cats remain healthy and fed.

Candice Scorer, general manager of the SPCA Sandton and Eastern Metro, expressed gratitude towards the company for the generous donation, which was pledged on Mandela Day, and said the donation would go a long way in assisting the organisation to continue caring for animals.

“We are so grateful for companies like Champion Petfoods who go the extra mile in helping us continue the work we do at the Sandton SPCA,” she said.

Laina Jordan, from Champion Petfoods, expressed the desire to keep the animals healthy with the food offered by the company. The donated food will be provided to the organisation until 28 July.
