Nursery brings joy to adoption home

SANDTON - The Princess Alice Adoption Home was the recipient of an array of baby products courtesy of Wonderland Nursery School.

Nadia Venditti, principal of the nursery school said the products were a generous donation from parents of the school and were highly appreciated by the home.

“All the Wonderland children from each class made beautiful cards for the children, while some of the teachers spent the morning playing, feeding and interacting with the babies at this home,” she said.

Venditti added that Wonderland, located in Woodmead, decided to assist Princess Alice after one of their teachers became involved in volunteering work there, and it was suggested that more teachers should also assist and make the day memorable.

The adoption home is based in Westcliff and takes care of abandoned babies and expectant mothers giving their children up for adoption.

Venditti added that the home was always looking for volunteers and encouraged public support for the home.

“This was a heartwarming experience and one that will be repeated in the near future. By doing this, we shall be giving the Wonderland families an opportunity to put our faith into visible action,” she concluded.
