KFC do their bit on Mandela Day

BRYANSTON - KFC did their bit on Mandela Day at their head office in Bryanston on 18 July.

Staff members and volunteers packed food parcels for KFC’s Add Hope corporate social responsibility initiative that aims to feed South Africa’s hungry children.

Gail Sham, the corporate communication manager said the food parcels went to KFC’s four beneficiaries, Joint Aid Management South Africa, Africa Food for Thought, Hope Worldwide and Afrika Tikkun.

Lebohang Mofokeng and Kopano Mabitsela were chosen through KFC’s Facebook competition to spend their 67 minutes on Mandela Day assisting KFC with their Mandela Day initiative.

“I just thought that this was an amazing initiative and I wanted to be a part of it,” said Mabitsela.

“So many people applied on Facebook, I didn’t even think they would get back to me,” added Mofokeng. “It is a good cause and giving back is always a good thing to do.”
