The Joost and Friends Golf Day is to raise funds to help Van der Westhuizen in his fight against motor neuron disease. A portion of money raised will go to Van der Westhuizen, and some will go towards sponsoring children to go on rugby tours and to buy them rugby kit.
The golf day starts with registration from 10am whereby tee-off times will be allocated to players. The theme of the day is rugby union rivalry. Participants are requested to wear the colours of the team they support. Hosted by Darren Scott, the golf day will end with a prize-giving dinner with singer Ard Matthews of Just Ginger entertaining the guests, and an appearance from the guest of honour Van der Westhuizen. Booking is essential.
