A merger of corporates that will strengthen business networks

JOBURG - Werksmans Attorneys have joined the list of corporates that have added their support to the Infrastructure Africa Business Forum (IABF) set to take place in Sandton.

The South African-based legal firm specialises in infrastructure deals on the African continent.

“We believe that Infrastructure Africa is an appropriate forum that supports what Werksmans is doing in the infrastructure space,” said Werkmans director, Greg Nott.

“We are particularly involved in the nascent oil and gas industry and in the development of the infrastructure space in and around this industry. This promises exciting opportunities in our own country as it has delivered in other countries in Africa, particularly in Mozambique and Tanzania,” added Nott.

Werksmans joined Accenture, RMB, Development Bank of Southern Africa as sponsors of the third annual IABF which takes place from 21 to 22 July at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The event revels in a strategic partnership with the Gauteng Province Department of Infrastructure Development and a founding partnership with NEPAD’s Planning and Coordinating Agency.

“Everyone is looking for African project opportunities, but it is difficult to understand which ones are real and which ones are still ideas,” said Liz Hart, the managing director at Siyenza, the organisers of the forum.

Delegates attending the forum can expect to explore new trading opportunities, establish and strengthen business networks, as well as develop and form partnerships. They will also have the opportunity to plan a way forward to address some of the continent’s infrastructure project requirements.
