Man robbed from his car at a Sandton intersection

SANDTON - A man had his watch and cellphone stolen on the corner of Grayston Drive and Katherine Street.

“He was in his car when two suspects approached him,” said Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police.

“Both men were wearing black jackets and white T-shirts.”

Maphakela said one of the suspects pointed a gun-like object at the man from inside his jacket.

“It looked like a firearm but he did not see it, it was some kind of weapon,” explained Maphakela.

He said the suspects took the man’s wrist watch worth R2 500 and a S4 Samsung cellphone worth R9 000.

Maphakela said one of the alleged suspects had a scar under his left eye and missing teeth.

A case has been opened but no arrests have been made.
