This according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley police, who said a man had parked his vehicle and gone inside a restaurant.
“His doors were locked and the windows were properly closed,” explained Maphakela.
“When he came out of the restaurant, he did not see his car.”
Maphakela said the security guards told the man that they saw someone leave the parking area in his car and drive out at high speed through the boom gate.
He added that the parking area had CCTV footage of the incident.
Maphakela said the vehicle also has a tracker installed, however, the vehicle had not yet been recovered.
The police are still investigating.
