‘Stop picking on Pikitup’
BRYANSTON - Resident Huguette Plath does not think it is fair that Pikitup is constantly accused of bad workmanship.
This following the article, Pikitup fails to pick it up, week ending 13 June, in which Morningside residents Steve and Hilary Wynne complained about Pikitup’s inconsistency with picking up residents’ rubbish as well as Pikitup’s recycling methods.
“Pikitup is making a mess with starting new systems when they could have just improved the old system,” said Steve. He was not pleased with Pikitup taking over recycling from Mama She’s Waste Recyclers in Morningside.
Hilary complained that nobody from Pikitup collected the refuse and that they have to call Pikitup to remind them to do so.
Huguette feels that Pikitup gets a lot of unnecessary backlash from residents.
She said, “It is disgusting that people expect Pikitup to take enormous boxes of cardboard and all the other big rubbish people put out as rubbish. It is not fair for Pikitup because they actually do a good job. People must also just do the right thing.”
