Man found unconscious during peak hour traffic in Hurligham

HURLINGHAM - Netcare911 emergency services attended to a man who was found unconscious in his motor vehicle.

The unidentified man was driving a navy blue Mercedes Benz SLK 200 when his vehicle came to an abrupt stop at the corner of the intersection of William Nicol Drive and Cromartie Road in Hurlingham, Sandton.

Bramley Police officers on the scene of the incident said they were contacted to attend to the incident through a community tip-off. They found the man seated in his car unconscious.

“Luckily our ambulance was driving in the area when the police stopped us for assistance,” said Santi Steinmann, spokesperson for Netcare911.

Steinmann said the man has been classified as serious because his injuries are unknown.

The man was treated by paramedics on the scene and taken to a nearby provincial hospital.
