Celebrating women in leadership

SANDTON - The International Women’s Forum South Africa (IWFSA) is set to host a prestigious conference at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The conference will take pace on 18 and 19 June from 9am to 5.30pm.

Thando Ntsinde on behalf of IWFSA said South African women in leadership have heeded the call to be the change they wanted to see in the world. “This initiative is in the spirit of celebrating 20 years of democracy in South Africa,” she said. “This forms part of the Africa Women’s Decade activities and will expose African women leaders to the International Women’s Forum (IWF), prior to the IWF Global Cornerstone Conference in 2015 which will also be hosted by IWFSA.”

Ntsinde said the theme, Africa Rising: Setting an Inclusive Agenda, recognises Africa’s recent growth. She added, “The idea of the conference is to unpack the rise of Africa and direct conversation towards setting an inclusive agenda to expand and sustain gains towards addressing Sub-Saharan current issues.”

Speakers invited to the conference will aim to showcase the African perspective. These speakers include the foum’s past presidents, Naledi Pandor, Bridgitte Radebe and Dr Namane Magau.
