CPF WhatsApp initiative gains ground
A Whatsapp group aimed at reducing crime in Sector 2 is gaining traction.
In the group, members are informed about crime incidents in the area as well as security and safety tips. Senior police officers, including the Sector 2 commander, are members of the central group.
The group has received a remarkable response from the public. Sector 2 incorporates Bryanston East, Klevehill Park, Petervale and Riverclub, and residents in these areas are encouraged to join.
With new members joining every day and with the police involvement, this form of networking is actively preventing crime in the area.
The Sandton CPF Sector 2 meetings take place on the first Thursday of every month at 6.30pm at the St Michael’s Church, on the corner of Bryanston Drive and Mount Street. All are welcome.
