Police commitment to community

SANDTON - Domestic Watch welcomes the community to participate in its April edition of crime watch in Sandton.

Domestic Watch’s group leader Penny Steyn prepares relevant lectures for the Domestic and Gardeners Crime Prevention Forum, and is assisted by Making A Difference facilitator Annie Conway.

April’s meetings will highlight the police’s line of duty. “I finally got permission from 10111 and South African Police Services to do this lesson and I am hoping the 10111 members will attend to add very important valuable information to this critically important lesson,” said Steyn.

Domestic Watch will host a meeting on 11 April at 12pm at the Bryanston Methodist Church, Grosvenor Road, Bryanston East. There will also be a meeting on the same day at 12pm at the Christian Science Church, Porchester Road, Bryanston, and at 12pm at Rivonia Library hall, corner 10th Street and Rivonia Boulevard, Rivonia.

A meeting will be held on 15 April at 10am at Rosebank Union Church, corner William Nicol Drive and Sandton Drive, Hurlingham; on 16 April at 12pm at Woodlands Park, Woodlands Street, Hurlingham Manor; at 2pm at Sandton Police Station Lapa, Summit Street, Morningside; 10am at George Lea Club, Holt Street, Parkmore; 23 April at 9.30am at the tennis clubhosue, Hilton Road, Linbro Park and at 11.30am at Christ Church Sandton, corner Rooselvelt and Haldane Roads, Gallo Manor.

The last meeting for the month will be held on 24 April at 10am at the Gallo Manor Community Centre, Letaba Avenue, Gallo Manor.
