ISO Rocks out at Hard Rock

SANDTON - The band ISO performed songs off their new new EP, Passages at Hard Rock Cafe at Nelson Mandela Square.

Marketing manager of Hard Rock Cafe, Talitha Spykerman said the restaurant provided ISO with a professional stage in an environment that allowed for a personal interaction with their fans.

“As a brand we align ourselves with local music across the globe and believe this is why ISO chose our venue,” said Spykerman. “The crowd absolutely loved their new material and have already advised they would love to see ISO on our stage again in the future.”

However, the band’s vocalist and lead guitarist, Richard Brokensha said, “We were excited to play a new venue, but unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations and we felt that most of the people weren’t engaging. As always it was great playing the new material and we had a great time on stage regardless.”

He thought an acoustic set would have worked much better. “Our perception is that the venue and the sound is not suitable for a full rock concert, but the people who work there care about musicians which was our highlight of the evening at Hard Rock Cafe,” he added.
