Entrepreneurs get inspiration from industry leaders

SANDTON - Regensys Business School held an entrepreneurship forum for entrepreneurs to get the opportunity to speak to industry leaders.

Devin Shutte, chief executive officer of Regenesys Business School investments introduced the esteemed panel of industry leaders who have travelled the hard road to success and want to share their journey with fellow aspiring entrepreneurs.

Dr Marko Saravanja, founder and chairperson of Regenesys Business School opened the forum with words of wisdom. “Life is about breaking the fear,” he said. “My whole life has been about challenging myself. You need to be brave, push boundaries and be open to going into the unknown.”

Businessman Braam van Huyssteen, founder of the chain of shoe shops, Tekkie Town said when he first started out in his business he had a fear of failure. “The big drive is in the value of hard work,” he said. “I started with just R100, right at the bottom. Everything begins at the bottom. The harder you work, the better the rewards.”

Nic Frangos, founder of the company Global Equities said, “A business is like an onion with many, many peels. In business you have to be prepared. Get yourself ready. Business is about learning every time.” Frangos added that one of his biggest lessons was learning to be enduring while remaining grounded in reality. “Patience is one of the important virtues anyone can have in business.”

Business developer at Awethu Projects, Tinashe Ruzane sees success as a long journey. “Success is a slow process that needs to take place,” he said. “Just by creating an environment of excellence, it elevates our level of thinking to a higher level of entrepreneurial thinking.”
