The centre is a cluster foster care facility for orphaned, vulnerable and abused children. Susan Harris from the centre said, “Part of the funds raised will be put toward a holiday for our children and the balance will be towards re-vamping the very first home on the property.”
The fundraising event will take place on 5 April at the centre in Buccleuch. Community members are invited to participate and host a table for 10 as part of the fundraising project for the children. “We will supply the chairs, round tables, round table cloths and hot water,” added Harris. “We will also be giving away a prize for the best table on the day and we will run a raffle. We are planning to have lots of fun and we are trying to secure a guest speaker and entertainment for the event.”
