Come celebrate with Joburg Zoo

The Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo and Zoo Lake turn 110 years old and this means a day of fun in the sun.

To mark this milestone of two of the city’s much loved recreational sites, the public is invited to bring along the family and a picnic basket to join in the celebrations.
The event boasts a music concert and a line-up of musical entertainment with the likes of Johannesburg Symphonic Orchestra and a variety of artists.
A photo booth where visitors can take pictures with their family and friends will be available.
Guided tours will also take place to the old heritage buildings and enclosures where animals used to reside.
The kid will also be catered for with mime artists, face painters, stilt walkers and jumping castles.
The event kicks off at Joburg Zoo (Jan Smuts Avenue) on 23 March from 11am to 3pm.

The general zoo admission fee will apply for entry on the day.
