Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley police said the man was walking out of a tavern when a car with three suspects stopped in front of him. Two of the suspects had guns and they forcefully pushed him into the car. Inside the car he was searched and they took his cellphone and R350 from his trousers.
“The suspects drove with him until they dropped him off in Alexandra. He was thrown out of the speeding car,” added Maphakela.
He said the suspects returned after realising one of them was known to the man. “He was still lying on the ground when they returned and he heard them discuss that they should kill him. He then managed to get up and run away,” said Maphakela.
One suspect was arrested and was detained at the Bramley Police Station.
