Redhill High School celebrates exam results

SANDTON – Redhill High School obtained an overall 100 percent pass rate for their 39th consecutive year.

Dean Bunce made his school proud with 10 distinctions. Fellow pupils Emma Jordi, Jessica Koen and Adam Ruff received nine distinctions each in their final results.

A total of 93 pupils sat the examination in 2013, and 97 percent achieved a bachelor’s degree pass which ensures university entrance. A diploma pass rate of three percent was achieved, which ensures further study at diploma level.

Results to remember… Adam Ruff attained nine distinctions for his final examinations. He is also in the top one percent of all Independent Examination Board pupils for life orientation.

Dean Bunce and Emma Jordi achieved a ranking within the top five percent of all Independent Educational Board (IEB) Outstanding Achievement pupils in six or more of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) subjects they wrote. A total of nine pupils were placed in the top one percent of all IEB pupils for a particular subject.

Redhill achieved distinctions in 33 percent of all subjects written, and achieved an average of 2.57 distinctions per pupil, and produced results of more than 60 percent in 84.5 percent of all subjects written.

The school is proud of their pupils’ achievements and they are looking forward to another year of great achievements in 2014.
