A year of breakthroughs

WARD 104 councillor Michael Wood said this year had been a year of breakthroughs for his ward.

He added that it had been a very busy year. “If one looks back, it has been a mix of activities as far as municipal issues are concerned,” he said. “In my ward we are still plagued with aging infrastructure which has led to water pipe bursts, sewer leaks and electrical outages.”

However, Woods was proud that his ward had had a number of successful breakthroughs throughout the year. “In this part of the ward, the most notable breakthrough has been the commitment by the city council to work with the community,” he said.

Woods wants the community to make use of the open areas in the ward this festive season. “We are indeed very blessed to have beautiful outdoor spaces in our area,” he said.
