Tshepo Bopape, a talented cricket player from Alexandra, has been invited to play for the provincial U15 team.
This would not be Bopape’s first chance to play for a provincial team as he has played for the U12 team in 2010. “I am very excited that I am getting this opportunity and am humbled by it,” Bopape said. He said he was looking forward to the challenge and did not want to disappoint himself or his team.
Felix Vilakazi, coach of the Gauteng schools U15 B said Bopape had been working hard. “He is a young boy who is very talented and I’m sure he will make us proud,” he said. Vilakazi said he hoped Bopape would be invited to play for the U19 team in a few years. “His hard work shows on the field and he will grow to be an even better player,” said Vilakazi.
