Doggie walk for a good cause

Large and stately, small and dainty, dogs of all shapes and sizes turned up for the first Spring Doggie Walk at the PwC Cycle Park in Bryanston.

Organised by The Leverage Corporation, the walk provided a great morning out for the local doggie community and with a portion of the funds going to the South African Guide-Dogs Association for the blind, a great way to help this worthy association. Leverage Corporation managing director, Rob Jackson said, “We were really delighted at the response to our first walk and for the wonderful support we received from sponsors like Bob Martin and Beeno which provided all the doggie treats and five wonderful raffle hampers.”

Pieter Van Niekerk, marketing manager of SA Guide-Dogs Association said, “We were really thrilled with the morning and the lovely spirit. It seems as if Joburger’s are looking for something different and fun to do on the weekends. I am hoping we can help Jackson grow this event into a regular fixture on the canine calendar.”
