Best biltong ever made in Gauteng
SMALL business owner John Bester makes the community proud with his biltong.
Bester was part of the top 30 finalists for the Sage Pastel and Talk Radio 702 Small Business Awards. He owns Best Biltong and Spit Braai Specialists in Parkmore.
One of Bester’s customers sent an e-mail to 702 and described his services as the best. In the e-mail, Brigitte Fauconier said she wanted to nominate Bester for the best small business award because he had the best biltong and dry boerewors in Gauteng. Fauconier thought Bester deserved to be nominated because he ran his business professionally and he gave the best service to the community.
Bester said, “My customers like the fact that I cut my own meat, I dry my meat naturally and I mix my own spices. For a tiny business like mine, being a finalist in the competition was a big achievement. I have been in the business of biltong and spit braais for 23 years.”
