Is the government doing enough? What are your thoughts?

We asked some Sandtonians whether they think the government is doing enough to place the 14 000 children in schools. This is what they had to say...

What do you think the government can do to improve the situation? Share your views with us on the Sandton Chronicle Facebook page.

JOHN DELPORT: It is outrageous. Primary and secondary education is the cornerstone. We can’t look at free tertiary education if we can’t get primary education right.
JABULANI MOTHA: The government needs to improve the situation. They should find qualified teachers and resources for the schools and make the schools the same as in town.
JULIA SEBOLAI: They are not doing enough. They must come up with a plan and involve other schools that can assist with the problem.
NAN MELVILLE: It remains a mystery to me how education takes bottom place. We can’t educate the population if the government can’t facilitate learning.
