This all-day event will be held at the school on Summit Road in Morningside. The planned activities for the Family Fun Day include a 4km and 8km Fun Run/Walk, potjiekos competition, tug of war competition, inter school running race for local schools, a doggie show, sky diving display, model helicopter display, raffle, bouncy castles and children’s entertainment. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available on the day.
“The policing forum sincerely thanks Redhill School for their willingness to assist and their eagerness in hosting this event,” said Wendy Vorster-Robertson, chairperson of the policing forum.
She said the main purpose of the Family Fun Day was to create greater awareness of the policing forum and the relationship between them, the Sandton community and the South African Police Service, as well as other major role players in the fight against crime. Vorster-Robertson added that the Family Fun Day would be this year’s fundraiser for the policing forum.
“We are earnestly looking for sponsorships and donations,” she said.
