Corporates and individuals are invited to the fundraiser, which will be held on 17 October at the Bryanston Country Club.
The day promises to be memorable and aims to raise funds towards the purchase of a Mobile Library Unit for Ema Primary School, an under-resourced school in Garankuwa.
The event will be in partnership with Masixhasane Literacy Project, the manufacturer of the Mobile Library Unit. The unit comprises 800 books and DVDs. The school is currently without a fully-fledged library and through this Golf Day, the pupils can look forward to enriching their lives through literacy.
“The Golf day, hosted as part of the Varsity College Sports and Community engagement calendar, is not a just great way to raise funds for a very worthy cause, but it is also a great opportunity for many corporates to network and to build new business relationships,” said Vasanthee Govender, Varsity College’s student relations manager. “This allows them to give back, whilst having fun building future business relationships.”
