Varsity College Sandton honours top achievers
SANDTON - Varsity College Sandton held its annual Night of the Stars awards ceremony to honour students who have achieved top academic excellence.
Proud parents, lecturers and staff gathered at the Charles Frazen Hall on campus to witness the college’s top students receive awards for academic excellence.
Some students had accomplished nine distinctions and 85 percentage averages in the 2013 academic year.
Lindsay Day, vice principal of student support said the awards ceremony was Varsity College’s flagship academic event aimed at celebrating academic excellence and hard work.
“With students being required to meet top honours to be recipients, it is with pride that we celebrate our top achievers and it never ceases to amaze me how the top academic achievers are also the students who seem to excel in so many other areas of their lives too,” added Day.
She urged students to have a dream that they will hold onto for the rest of their lives.
