Domestic Watch Forum meetings in June.

JOBURG - The Domestic Watch Forum will be holding a series of meetings in the Morningside, Parkmore, Hurlingham and Craighall Park areas in June.

The meetings are presented by co-ordinator, Penny Steyn who heads the process of educating employers, domestics and gardeners about crime prevention.

In light of the 200 girls in Nigeria kidnapped by Islamic fundamentalist group, Boko Haram, the meetings will focus on the terrible reality of child trafficking and missing children.

The meetings will address the misconception that it ‘won’t happen to our children’, and will present the sad reality that anything could happen in our unpredictable modern society.

The gathering will focus on a number of issues surrounding the issue of child kidnapping and trafficking such as the potential targets, the various methods in which children are taken from their homes, the reasons behind the kidnapping and how to protect children from his crime.

Hurlingham

Venue: Rosebank Union Church.
