Fundraiser concert a success

HURLINGHAM - Rosehaven Retirement village hosted their annual fundraiser music variety concert, Good Vibrations, at the Rosebank Union Church on 31 May.

The concert hosted top South African artists such as the Rosehaven Gospel Choir, Kingsway Children’s Choir, Connel Cruise, James Clay, and the Rainbow Tenors. The show was produced and organised by Greta Collier, who runs the fundraising for the village.

“This was our third event due to such popular demand and was a real family concert,” said Collier. “It raised much-needed funds for Rosehaven Retirement Village,” she said.

Craig Urbani of the Buddy Holly Show fame said it was an “absolute pleasure” to be involved in the annual Good Vibrations fundraiser.

“So many people gave so freely of their time and talents to take part, and it was a terrific evening,” he said.

“Greta Collier and her team assembled some amazing talent from the professional scene, as well as from within the church and Rosehaven Retirement Village. The result was a very entertaining and diverse evening, all for a good cause,” said Urbani.
