The main keynote speaker for the conference was Paul Epstein. Epstein is a frequent speaker at international, national and regional Montessori conferences as well as the author of many articles about Montessori. He co-authored The Montessori Way, a definitive work on the Montessori experience. Epstein’s current research interests include school evaluations, adolescent development, and developing curriculum and best practices for middle and high school programmes.
Epstein held a two day observation workshop at the conference which Debi Mc Arthur, principal of O’Summit, Nikki Searll, directress of the ages six to nine environment and Jenna Kempster, directress of the toddler environment attended.
O’Summit Montessori is situated in Bryanston and caters for children from the ages of 18 months old to 12 years old.
