Woman raped by her cousin

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley Police, said, “She said sometime in 2009 when she was in bed with her younger sister, two of her cousins came into their room while they were sleeping.”

Maphakela said the woman alleged that she woke up the next day to find one of her cousins touching her breasts. “Her pants and underwear were on the floor,” said Maphakela. “She alleged that she cannot recall anything because she was too young in 2009.”

Maphakela said the man has since been arrested. “He appeared at the Alexandra Magistrate Court for rape on 5 May and will appear at the court again soon for his bail hearing,” said Maphakela.
