Eat burgers on Human Rights Day

SANDTON - Hard Rock Cafe in Sandton will be at the Thuthuzela Aid Community Centre on Human Rights Day.

The national public holiday is celebrated on 21 March and it serves to honour human rights of all South Africans.

Talitha Spykerman of Hard Rock Café said the staff would be donating burgers and T-shirts to the orphanage in Marlboro. “We want to pay them a visit, spend some time with them and spoil them with goodies,” said Spykerman.

The Thuthuzela Aid Community Centre opened its doors as a daycare and a place of safety for Alexandra’s needy children. “The number of abused, needy, disabled and HIV/Aids infected children in South Africa continues to grow every day,” said Elizabeth Monyela, the founder of the centre. “We provide the children with a basic foundation in education and undivided attention.”
