Residents want answers about Coleraine Drive

RIVERCLUB residents want answers regarding the collapsed portion of road on Coleraine Drive.

Ward 103 councillor Vincent Earp asked the Johannesburg Roads Agency to be transparent about their plans to repair the collapsed road. ā€œResidents are requesting urgent answers about an update on the investigation and timeline for the repair of Coleraine Drive,ā€ he said. ā€œThis project must start as soon as possible, we cannot afford to have this section of road closed indefinitely.ā€

Vusi Sikhakhane, regional operations manager for the roads agency said, ā€œI trust that the project team will go to the site as early as Monday (17 March) as per the assurance I received yesterday.ā€ Earp said he had not heard of any activity taking place at the site as yet and the roads agency had not informed him of any developments.

Bertha Peters-Scheepers, spokesperson for the roads agency said a press conference will be held at their offices in Johannesburg on Wednesday morning (19 March) to discuss what the agency intends to do about the collapse on Coleraine Drive.
