‘Celebrate’ International Mistress Day
Joburg - INTERNATIONAL Mistress Day is celebrated on 13 February – one day before Valentine's Day – and South African musician, Danny K, along with Twitter users, had some interesting suggestions on where to entertain your 'other significant other'.
During a segment on the popular entertainment show V-entertainment, Danny K serenaded viewers with songs based on Twitter lyric suggestions, set to the melody of his hit single ‘Brown eyes’.
One of the Twitter suggestions by @mooshtaffa was: “Side chick [mistress] malls are malls you take your significant other-other for drinks knowing that NO ONE you know will see you, eg. Victory Park.”
Other Twitter users responded with further suggestions of ‘side chick’ malls like Brightwater Commons, The Glen and the Design Quarter, Fourways.
For those who are still unsure of whether they are a mistress or not, a Twitter user clarified the term by saying: “Ladies: if he don’t (sic) want to do malls with you or y’all (sic) only eat out mid-month, you’r (sic) a SIDE CHICK!!”
