First day of school causes excitement

ESCORTED by their proud parents, new pupils of Crawford College Pre-Primary Sandton were taken to their classes to begin their first day of school.

Parents arrived between 7am and 8am holding their children’s hands to ease their nerves, and took photos to remember the beginning of their schooling experience. The traffic was slow which caused many children to run late.

Teachers welcomed the new pupils to their classrooms. The grade ones were excited to start learning and took out their brand new stationery kits labelled with their names and introduced themselves to their peers at the desks they have been assigned to for the year.

As teachers focused their attention on their preparations, some children ran around their desks exercising off their excitement, lay their heads on desks or familiarised themselves with their new environment.
